Explore Southwest Minnesota Tourism Association, a regional non-profit tourism effort of the nine counties of Southwest Minnesota, has launched a new website, www.exploreswmn.com, a site aimed at showcasing and promoting the region’s attractions, features, and communities that make the region a great place to visit and explore.
The new website features a sharp new look and feel and represents a significant step in Explore Southwest Minnesota’s commitment to promoting Southwest Minnesota as a tourist destination. The website provides a single access point to highlight attractions in each of the nine counties. Explore Southwest Minnesota wanted to make it easy for visitors to find area attractions and lodging information within a few short clicks. The website highlights destinations and attractions, including wineries and breweries, historic sites, festivals and special events, art galleries and performing art venues, sporting venues, parks and trails, and more. It also features lodging options within the region.
Over the last year, the organization’s members have focused their collaborative efforts on better showcasing the region’s tourism potential. The redeveloped website was a collective project between members from the counties of Cottonwood, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone, Redwood, and Rock, and the Southwest Regional Development Commission. The organization received additional funding for website development from Explore Minnesota.
For Explore Southwest Minnesota Tourism Association, promoting Southwest Minnesota as a travel destination is a crucial investment in the economic vitality of the region’s counties, communities, and businesses.
